We have this order for a 1967-68 Lamborghini 400GT, which is a pattern we do not have here in stock. The customer has agreed to a 4-6 week build time to allow us to lay out the original harness the car was manufactured with. The first set of pictures we have the harness laid-out and nailed to a work bench, we connect a 6V battery to 1 wire and determine where it supplies power too.

When restoring an old car give some thought to installing an electric fuel pump as a back up to your cars original fuel pumping system. New fuel mixtures tend to be hard on certain rubber seals and other factors involved in sealing some fuel drawing devices. So to be prepared for any such emergency, a back up “switched on” pump (of the right pressure for your original carborator/carborators) could be hidden from view at a location of your choosing.

Why do we bring this to your attention in a wiring harness web site? When ordering your wire harness for the taillight section think about where you would place a electric fuel pump, and ask that a wire for this purpose be built into the harness and pulled out at just the right spot, with enough length, to reach the place you plan to install your fuel pump back up device. You could then have the wire in place to use, or not to use, at your discretion.
